The title explains it all. I was watching the x files that involved an epidemic spread by rain forest grass hoppers.
The CdC appeared at a crime scene and extracted a witness with out showing any credientials, etc. The witness was suspected to be infected with the grasshopper flu.
This is a fantasy show that does not play by the rules with concerns to how the government handles things.
With this in mind, how much actual authority does the CDC have in the case of an epidemic crisis?
When I say epidemic I mean a virus that is quickly mutating and cannot be stopped. It has a infection to termination time frame of 24-48 hours.
Does anyone know what sort of plan the US government (and the world) has for this scenario?

The very first thing it will do is hold a meeting to set an agenda for the next scheduled meeting in 6 weeks.

Do you think those guys were *really* from the CDC? Muahahaha!

They bought 500,000 rounds of 5.56mm and 1,000,000 rounds of 9mm in 2015. I can't provide a link because I made it up, But it could still be true. They also got a bag of beef jerky and a 2 liter Orange soda.

I see you have joined the disinformation campaign. Put enough bogus information out from multiple sources and no one will be able to recognize the truth.

I'm going to ask you a question while I eat a piece of sweet potato pie.

Since this is a healthcare issue, it seems likely they would alert the IRS so they could investigate the victims background and confiscate and/or freeze any assets. LOL!

If The Walking Dead is anything to go by, little to none. grin

Are there really vegetarian zombies? Every possible zombie pdemise in the genre has now been exhausted.

No more zombie movies people.

Are there really vegetarian zombies?

In the otherwise execrable remake of Day of the Dead, the characters have a zombie with them that does not attack, and they speculate he doesn't because when alive he was vegetarian.

So yeah, that's been done.
