My son and I had our first game of Dragon Rampant last weekend. We already had a few games of Lion Rampant under our belts so we were familiar with the rules but the introduction of Strength Points has made an already flexible system even more so. Simple, quick to pick up and play but at the same time satisfyingly tactical…Dragon Rampant gets a huge thumbs up from us.

* The Wraith Knights and Armoured Skeletons should be (RMU) not (SMU).

A link to a Google Drive or Dropbox PDF version (bigger and easier to read) is up on our blog for those who are interested.

Beautiful table, beautiful figures! Nice write-up, as well. Did you make those trees? They are fantastic! Love the war dogs -- a personal favorite of mine, which I generally see little of in games. In my D&D games, I encourage mage players to equip themselves with 2-3 war dogs, to act as a defensive shield, with teeth, and it works quite well, when spells run low. I also equip my shorties (Dwarves and Gnomes) with war dogs, for the same reason, plus they serve as mounts for the Gnomes. Great paint job on the dogs, as well. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

Thanks! I can't take credit for the figures, though, as Matt Slade of Glenbrook Games painted them for me. Nor the trees as they are aquarium decorations…I'm actually a bit rubbish at the hobby side of things!

The Sword Maidens are really going to bust the warriors nuts with the tale of how just the two of them defeated both the Wight and the Lich Lord!

Yeah…the sword maidens definitely stole the show!
