Tempted to give it a go. One question though, how does KoW reflect differences between troops? I mean how is a human spearman, a dwarf spearman, and an orc spearman different? Does the set make the armies un-vanilla successfully? |

Number of attacks, nerve values, defense and minor special rules make all the troops seem different. lets take the Elven Spearmen, they have Elite (reroll 1s to hit) and phalanx with a nerve of 21/23. Dwarven Spearmen have more armour and headstrong (50% chance to shake off a waver). Humans have lower nerver and no special rules but are cheaper. All have similar stats but the minor differences are huge on the table top. Check out here for all army stats and gear: kow2.easyarmy.com No faction is similar but at the same time the differences aren't silly. |

I have played a few games, it seems the differences are found in the special rules for each faction/race. But these special rules make quite a difference to gameplay. |

The previous edition of the rules are free, so you can read them & see the differences for yourself. link |

I have sold a number of sets plus copies of the rules down here in the south. |
