A couple years back I put together a tutorial showing how I base my C.A.P. Aero Aircraft for naval wargaming. My ships are 1/2400 (GHQ/Panzerschiffe/CinC) but the aircraft work well even though they are at double scale. Link Here: doodlebot.net/redoubt/?p=1426

Nice looking, but why not use the GHQ 1/2400 aircraft, which are the correct scale, yet still big enough to see? MH |

Too small and fiddly to post mount. Also too small to instantly identify at a glance. |

I use the craft disks and straight pins. You just tap the pin through the base of the disk and glue it in place. it leaves a bump under the disk that could be a problem on a hard surface, but gives more support than a simple post. Pins are cheaper than brass rod too. Also, I use 1/700 for my 2400 ships. |
