Looks like some good possibilities for arms trades with some of the Fireforge figures. |
kallman | 27 Jan 2016 12:24 p.m. PST |
I think you will find the Fireforge figures are a bit more robust and may not match well with the Perry figures which are slimmer. Regardless here is another reason we are living in a golden age of miniature war gaming. |

A nice match for their English Knights |

I've done some arm swaps with FF and GB, these look like they would work out pretty well. I'll post for a trade here in a few days and let you know. The two handed weapon arms are the ones that I like, to be used on FF foot sgts. But it doesn't look as though Perry gives as many extra weapon arms as FF. |

If you can indeed swop with Fireforge, this is an incredible thing !!!! |

The separate visors look like a chore to stick on but golly doesn't the result look like it's well worth the effort? Lovely work. Golden age indeed. John T |

I'm actually disappointed. I like how the other kits they have made had seprate heads that you could use on FF etc. |

Oh and this set just expands your options for those HYW games of Lion Rampant! |
Puster | 28 Jan 2016 1:07 a.m. PST |
The equipment for that era simply does not support seperate heads. The main interchangability for these will be the other Perry kits. I intend on swapping a lot with the 1450-1500 Knights, for a look that supports the 1440-1460 era. |

Absolutely lovely. GoT project is looking more and more likely…. -Will |

I'm actually disappointed. I like how the other kits they have made had seprate heads that you could use on FF etc. It is only the men-at-arms that have heads in one piece with the body (sort of justified by the full plate armour design of the time). The French villains on the other hand have separate heads (plus plenty more arm options for those wanting to mix and match with Fireforge):

I can't see any reason why you couldn't mix some of these with FF figures. The only thing that they would need is different heads. And FF always has way too many heads in the box. |

I ended up digging up my men-at-arms sprue from the English set, and comparing it with the new upcoming equivalent from the French kit, I was a bit disappointed by the selection of weapons – it seems that the French men-at-arms have almost identical arsenal to their English equivalents, the only new weapon that they seem to introduce is the two-handed sword. The villains on the other hand seem to be provided with more original arsenal. |
tigrifsgt | 31 Jan 2016 10:19 a.m. PST |
Besides the small difference in weapons, are the English and French men at arms sprues the same? |
Griefbringer | 31 Jan 2016 1:23 p.m. PST |
The layout on both sprues is pretty similar, but the figures are different. English men-at-arms are primarily in white armour, while the French seem to have theirs covered. French (already previously linked in this thread):
English (from Beasts of War website):

I fear these will lead me to build another four armies that will line up to be painted starting (lets look in the list…………) early April 2034. |

What set has the English Agincourt archers in it? |

What set has the English Agincourt archers in it? Check out the set "English Army 1415-1429" (code AO40). It has been available for over a year already, and comes with 12 men-at-arms and 24 archers. From the Perry website: link

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Since we can't get the Conquest plastic archers in the U.S. due to no distributor, I was thinking about using these with my Fireforge foot crossbow. And those bodies look very similar to the French infantry bodies. |
Griefbringer | 07 Feb 2016 3:32 a.m. PST |
And those bodies look very similar to the French infantry bodies. The two infantry sprues should be fully compatible with each other, if you check the Perry website you can see some figures that have been built by combining parts from the two sprues. As for Conquest plastics, have you considered ordering from the UK? Caliver Books has the set available for £18.00 GBP, including worldwide shipping. |

Thanks again, I'll look into that. I figured the price from Northstar with shipping to be well over $40.00 USD. |

Looking at both, I think I would much rather have these guys. And at the same time I can add some different crossbow to my FF foot figures. So, my next purchase will be a box of French and a box of English 1415-29. A great chance for arm and head swaps and more compatible. |
