"The Battlefield in a Box Gothic range is impossible to get hold of these days but the Badlands range has always been even rarer. Not only are they perfect for Wild West games but they'd look pretty good in the Lost World and on Mars, too! I've been on the look-out for anything from the range for a long time but to no avail. So when I got an eBay alert that something was available I assumed it would be outrageously priced but I was in luck….they had the Badlands Bluff and not only was it on Buy-it-Now at retail price but they had a couple for sale! Blimey! I didn't hesitate in picking them up straight away…"

Just hoping Gordon would stop by here; my comments are for him. Of course, he may never, and I don't log on for blogs. Doug |

We have some smashing foam terrain in our gaming group, but occasionally smashing is the issue. ;->= I know the BiaB is more expensive, but much tougher, and looks smashing as well! However, I must say those figures are show stealers. I love most of Ironclad, but must say, until seeing those painted, they were less 'loved'. Now, WOW. Doug |

Thanks! I can't really claim any credit for the figures, though, as they were painted for me by Matt Slade of Glenbrook Games…my own efforts are much less impressive. |

No, no, I saw that; if anything, you can pass my delight on to him, if not my business. See other notes under 'skinflint.' Doug |

My club has a couple of the plateaus in their terrain collection. We used to have the rockpiles, too – but traded them for one of the plateaus to another gamer (who wanted the rockpiles for his wild west games). |

Really wish that they'd just bring the range fully back. It's almost painful for things like the rivers or these that a lot of places say are great, but don't exist…and with the rivers, you have pieces that they keep releasing that tie into it, but not the originals… |

Why did they stop selling them? All I've ever heard apart from how good they were is demand for them. Doesn't make sense to me why they don't issue more. I'd buy some. |

Yeah…they're definitely missing a trick especially since the release of Frostgrave as demand for their BiaB Gothic has gone through the roof and the stuff sells for loads on eBay. |

I can see why, I love those minis – they ooze character, and are nicely posed (this is a major bugaboo of mine – too many of the "dynamic" poses on the market today are very, very easily broken, and then on the other side of things you have the 18th century toy soldier poses – this is the golden mean) |
