"Hitting theatres June 10th and starring Travis Fimmel as warrior Anduin Lothar, Ben Foster as wizard Medivh, Paula Patton as Orc Garona, Dominic Cooper as King Llane, Toby Kebbell, Robert Kazinsky and Daniel Wu, the visually breathtaking big screen adaptation of legendary Blizzard Entertainment video game, set in the magical land of Azeroth in the middle of the battle between the Horde and the Alliance, is directed by Duncan Jones! The special effects are so cutting edge that the post production took record breaking 20 months! The orcs are done by motion capture and have their own dialect developed specially for the movie…" From Hollywood Spy

Given that World of Warcraft is the shared hobby of my wife and I, we might be making an opening day appearance. We already have enough Horde apparel to go all decked out :-) If there is some sort of worker's comp settlement before then, we might even go in costume. And the kids want to do this with us. We are a bit of a Warcraft family. |

Hell yes. I'm excited for this. I played WoW from vanilla through Lich King and love the lore and the characters. I don't know my WoW lore like I do my 40k grimdark, so I won't be upset if they are a little loose with it. It'll be good to see WoW on the big screen. I had many many great hours with friends (both real life and those I made online) in Azeroth. |

Wait, did that say the orc dialect was developed for the movie? Does this mean there's gonna be extended scenes of subtitled non English? REALY? All they need is to say "Loktar" Lok Regar no Gal" "Swuuvu" "Dabu" and "Zug Zug" at the right time not soliloquize in Klingon. Also I'll be royally cheezed off if Medhiv and Garona don't appear in the film. |
