Hi I'm new to solo gaming and looking for simple campaign ideas/rules. I've always liked intrigue in campaigns but wondering how best to represent this in a solo game. Cheers Ian |

The Solo Wargaming Guide (William Silvester/Precis Intermedia) is largely about campaigning. The PDF edition is pretty cheap, and they have a small discount coupon on their blog for the next couple of days. Print version's cheap too, and I think it's on Amazon as wel. link If you want other books then there's always Featherstone. If you want links… then sorry, phoneposting without a bookmarks folder to hand. |

Simple Campaigning, written by John Graham-Leigh, published by Society of Ancients might be a good option. The author developed the initial ideas for solo campaign gaming and it includes several game mechanics for semi-random campaign events. Relatively little book-keeping as well, which I consider an advantage. |
