Speaking of navigation droids here, so don't dtop IG-88 on me. evil grin

Which of the two droids do you prefer? I'm with R2, especially in a bar (cantina) fight. BB-8 is cute, but cute just doesn't cut it on the galactic fringe. R2 is like a Swiss knife.

I have no idea why this has been on my mind for weeks.

I'm an R2 fan as will, but will wait and hold my opinion on BB-8, he could be just a different Swiss Knife, we know he has a little compartment to hold things in and we know he has a lighter of some sorts, plus he can shot those support line around like a little spider. Will just have to see how BB-8 and R2 work out as a team.

R2-D2

Technically neither are droids (short for androids). Androids are mechanical devices designed to have the form of and act like humans. C3PO is an android. R2D2 and BB-8 are robots.

Pardon me while I duck for cover.

R2-D2 hands down.

R2, but only because we have more history

Bashytubits25 Jan 2016 7:43 p.m. PST

Neither, it is their secret love child that is the better droid.

In their transistors every robot dreams of becoming a pirate.

R2-D2

But for the life of me I can't figure why he wasn't built with repulsors instead of wheels that only would work on glass-smooth surfaces.

I like 'em both – R2 will never be replaced in my heart, but BB-8 seemed likeable enough, and got a couple of laughs too.

Yeah, they're both cool.

Sorry, R2, BB-8 is cooler, even if it is a shameless fandroid of you. Your portrayal in the prequels… ugh.

The Auralnauts/Jedi Party version of Creepio is better than any canon C3PO, though.

Captain Gideon26 Jan 2016 9:14 a.m. PST

fullerene I take it you didn't like R2's portrayal in the prequels why is that?

As for that Gold Butler I do have distain and disgust for that droid although I could say more but I choose not to.

I love this! It should be a word.

Ron

P.S. R2 for the win.

BB8. Love the thumbs up.

R2d2 is irreplacable
