If you were snow bound this past weekend what did you do with regard to our hobby?

I painted a bunch of GHQ figures. I wanted to get in a solo game or two but opted for watching football and movies. Wasn't feeling well.

How about you? What did you do?

EDIT: Yeah. Shoveled a lot of snow myself! I was the only one home so I do mean MYSELF!

Shoveled snow, fixed a leak in the washing machine, spent way too much time online. Painted some GHQ ultra-modern Russians too.

Shoveled snow but before that I finished building a 4Ground Dead Mans Hand Wild West building and based some figures.

Pizzagrenadier25 Jan 2016 8:53 a.m. PST

Shoveled four cars out. Painted some laser cut MDF Bug Hunt Corridors from Fantasy Arc in between that and relaxing with the family.

Worked on completing my Frostgrave waterfront terrain:

Also, did some Frostgrave "LARP-ing" by shoveling out the front walk and driveway. :-)

Put away McPherson's Ridge scenario and set up Spicheren, 1970. I had to custom make a small piece of faux Geo-Hex.

No shoveling, that gets done by the building maintenance. I live on the 17th floor. Ate my wife's cooking, watched Neflix, walked to the river.

Didn't get snowed in, but I was supposed to drive (from Ohio) to Laxcon in Baltimore. We didn't go, my daughter was crushed, I lost a small fortune in non-refundable fees and deposits, and we didn't get a flurry in central Ohio.

Gray Bear25 Jan 2016 9:42 a.m. PST

Enjoyed 67 degrees here in Phoenix.

BCantwell25 Jan 2016 9:45 a.m. PST

Shoveled/blew snow. Painted some Anglo-dane huscarls for Saga. Made some Frostgrave treasure tokens. Played several solo games of Frostgrave to try that out. Went sledding with the girls. Worked from home…

Did get any snow up here in Boston. But spent the early morning hours de icing airplaines to send them out to snowed in airports. The new buckets are enclosed, heated and has a nice padded chair.

My wife and I painted some tomb rooms she will be using for her Pennsylvania Pete adventure at Cold Wars.

Taught the girlfriend Settlers of Catan, Carcassone, and almost got to Liberty by Columbia Games. Not miniatures, but at least it was gaming.

Shoveled
Shoveled
Shoveled
Shoveled
Shoveled
and then I shoveled some more.

I have rental properties.

In between I did finish writing two more issues of Saxe N' Violets, my war game print newsletter, and did a little modellng.

Then back to shoveling, sanding gravelling, and in between resting up to shovel some more.

I am by he way, a real idiot. I bought myself a nice new snow blower in November. However I put the instructions on its use somewhere where I was sure to not lose them, which is the same place you put them when you can't find them, and so I couldn't use it. A new manual is on order.

Played Frostgrave. Rather ironic huh?

Dug. Ate. Slept. Dug. Ate. Slept. Dug.

And then I dug some more. My yard looks like Verdun, trenches everywhere.

My commiserations fellas. I used to live in the North of Scotland and shovelled snow regularly from December to March, it was a real Pita. On this side of the Atlantic we enjoyed 14 degrees Centigrade and some sunshine. Apparently your storm is heading our way, but converted to yet more rain as it comes over the water; just what we need after the wettest December on record.

Watched some movies with the wife….finished a Western building and did some re-arranging of the work table….

snurl125 Jan 2016 10:26 p.m. PST

Shoveled. Then played with my new Dwarven Forge City.

@KPinder: That one made me laugh out loud. Dug. Ate. Slept. You do sound like a WWI infantryman. No wonder your yard looks like Verdun! grin

Moved about 3 tons of snow.
Got ahead on my mini painting schedule.
Made some CD jungle/tropical terrain bits.
Test played scenario for this coming weekend's game day.
Played Elder sign.
Played 28mm dino hunt using dinosaur molasses cookies.
Teleworked from home.
Didn't get minis scheduled for Friday delivery yet.

Shovel. Snowblower. Shovel. Snowblower. Shovel. Watch football while my muscles explain to me why three hours of wargaming and three hours of snow shifting are not equal amounts of exercise or fun.
