Hello
We play Fire and Fury and Regimental Fire and Fury for ACW and I am currently investigating Age of Eagles for Napoleonics. I am wondering if anyone has had a go at adapting F and F (or any of its variants) for the ECW. I am asking because I am yet to find a set of ECW rules that I like and I do like the mechanics of F and F. Plus, I can only keep so many rules systems in my head before it explodes. We had a go at adapting Might and Reason for the ECW, but it wasn't entirely successful.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thank you

Shouldn't that be "Fyre and Fury"? wink

I don't see why they wouldn't work, though they really are designed for a higher level game. You might pinch the command system and work out your own combat rules.

Rich, the author, has played around with ECW a time or two. Have you checked the Fire and Fury Games website---it may have an old version of the QRS on there??

If you want to try a set of rules for one period for ECW it would be better to use Sword and Spear for ECW. I've found they fit the period very well.

There was a pike&shot version of F&F published many years ago in Arquebusier – the journal of the Pike & Shot society.
That's probably still available if you contact them.

Thank you for your suggestions.

There is a home-brew version of F&F for ECW/TYW. Played it a couple of times at the HMGS cons. When I get home from work, I will try to find the links.

Try the Fire and Fury Yahoo group. Cold Steel, in fact, posted the link in 2008. link

Thanks, John. I had forgotten about posting the link before.

Hello
Is there any chance that you could email or PM me with the content on that link? I have tried several times, but I can't get Yahoo to work for me. I am a technological ignoramus.
Thank you

I wrote the article that was printed in Arquebusier many years ago – and then forgot about it. Many years later, I came across it in the files of a Yahoo group. In the interim, a midlands club (Monfort?) had much improved it. Since then, we (North Gower Gamers) have used it quite a lot and improved it again. You're welcome to a copy if you give me your email.

I'd be very interested in them.

John

Cold Steel has been kind enough to send me some material which may be similar to your material, but I would still be grateful if you could forward what you have to me. My email address is avaningen at rk dot com dot au

I am a member of the Pike and Shot Society, but I am guessing that your article was published before I joined.

Thank you

Done.

As I recall, it must have been 15 years or so ago.
