What were the colors of the M60a1's that were supplied to the israel's during the Yom Kippur war.

Probably Forest Green or Olive Drab. Possibly tan (khaki) if there was time before shipping

I found a couple of photos of tanks being unloaded in 1973 and they looked pretty dark (so presumably green).

All the ones supplied during the war came from war reserves in Europe, so would have been Forest Green or OD.

I don't have my references with me but I thought the few european m60s were for photo ops/propaganda not sure they actually drive off to the Sinai? Let alone fought in green? As opposed to the ammunition….. Happy to be corrected.

A couple of color photos show them in Israeli tan, which is a unique color. Darker than a standard desert tan, but lighter than brown.
