Here are a couple of shots of my medievals on my new Cigar Box mats (Europe I and Europe II). I think they bring the board to life a little more than my old mats. [URL=http://s210.photobucket.com/user/rampantlio/media/Sir%20Walter%20Stewart/IMG_20160123_124446370.jpg.html]

It appears that you have counters built into your bases. Is that right? |

Yes I do Davenbak, I designed them for my new rules which go to the printer in a week or two. |

The figs and terrain mat look great! Very nice looking game! |

Those sure are great looking bases with the built-in counters. I'd be interesting in more details about how you made them. I've been kicking around a few ideas about making something similar for Napoleonic games. I don't particularly care for figure removal -- I want all figures on the game table where they look the best -- not sitting on a side table as casualties! I don't care for rosters either. Litko sells "Combat Dials" and I bought one to try out. Then I wondered about incorporating the dial counter directly into a base or a movement tray. Just change the dial as needed whenever the combat factor changes. I'm thinking about using Litko circle bases and printing small numbers on the outer edge. What you have created is very similar to what I was imagining. Thanks. |
