Added to units to my growing army of Elamites for to The Strongest rules which I to play solo. The rules are perfect for Impetus style basing which I really like. Rule set up to now did offer much punch for this army and is why I never developed it onto the table. Seems great pity as Elamites caused Assyria great concern and their armies must been good in battle. Massed bow at the must have been affective in assaulting he enemy. Next up will be the chariots. Following on will be royal foot guard, heavy cavalry perhaps and heavy chariots only heard of in written records. Then of course foot bow which are seen on reliefs. I am sure other units of levy and ally bow may have appeared like neighbours. I may well then use my existing Chaldeans etc for Elamites. Although I do have some Warlords Games actual Elamites. The foot bow form Near East nations all look very similar anyway?? chariotgamer.blogspot.com |
