"Cthulhu Wars – is a strategy board game published by «Green Eye Games» where players have an opportunity to become the alien race and god taken from the Cthulhu mythos created by H. P. Lovecraft. This game is quite large and includes 64 miniatures of cultists, monsters, aliens and Great Old Ones that differs in height from 20 mm to almost 180 mm. Main designer of this piece of horror is Sandy Petersen. The artworks have been created by Richard Luong"

That's not a review. It's a summary, consisting mostly of quotations from the rules. It's a good summary, for sure.

I have played the basic game once, so I guess I'm qualified to review it. Here you go:

I played a four-player game with three other very experienced wargamers. We had a great time.

The rules and other things you have to think about are enough to keep you on your toes, but not overwhelming.

No one ever has enough resources, which is as it should be. That forces you to make choices and take risks. Each faction has different abilities and ways to improve. Read all of your faction material carefully so that you can figure out a suitable strategy that plays to your faction's strengths.

We're all fans of Lovecraft, but you really don't need to know anything about the background to play the game.
