Can anyone recommend some quick play rules for Ironclads? I'm trying to avoid record keeping as much as possible, so DBx type rules are quite acceptable. I should mention that I'm not really interested in the ACW ironclads, more the European ones. In particular, the ships that fought in the Schleswig War in 1864, and also in the Adriatic in 1866. Thanks. |

Phil barkers "Damned Battleships Again" is set in a slightly later period (1890-1905) but the principles therein are adaptable to the 1860s and 1870s. I did develop a set that did just that, alas can't find them at the moment. link |

Thanks for the response. I have, and like, Phil Barker's DBSA rules, but I'm looking for something earlier. I think I have a mid C19th variant (including Martians!), but somehow they didn't grab me as much as I'd hoped. Still, that's more the style of thing I'm looking for. |

Inspired by this thread (and having come across my 1/2400 Lissa collection) I'm now working up a DBSA/DBN based set :) |
