"As many people that play 40k know, a lot of people play some form of Space Marines. It makes sense since there's numerous chapters, even before you get into Chaos and the various marines that they can put on the battlefield. So making your army stand out from your buddy's army can be a bit of work if you want to do everything scratch-built. Thankfully, Forge World is here to help with new armor sets.

Space Marines aren't ones to throw something away. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And as such, even if you're playing in the 40k section of the timeline, you might still find marines tooling around in some pretty old gear. Of course, the winds of Chaos might make it so marines were lost way back in the day and they just found themselves back in the "real world" again, so you can get old gear coming back that way, too. Or you can just set your games during the Horus Heresy. So there's that. Any way you want to justify all the various types of armors showing up in one place is up to you. Forge World just gives you the options to customize your army as you see fit."

Neat stuff. Too rich for me, but neat.

I have the Calth boxed set and want to get another one but I'll probably also get a couple of Mark 2 and Mark 3 sets to put some diversity in the units.

Thanks, but I'll stick with my 30 year old beakies.

I have about 50 of the first gen beakies in metal, and 33 bare plastic rbt01 marines for sale, if anyones interested.
Most of the metals have paint(world eaters), and are pretty good standard, but can be striped.

I'm having 15mm(but big, thick marines)marines made. a sargent with a power fist and wrist mounted stormbolter, heavy bolter marine, heavy plasma gun marine, and 3 poses of boltgun marines.

Ill have the first figure(the sargent)done by middle of next week(1/27th-ish).
Let me know a email address if anyone wants in…

So what's new with these sets versus the old Heresy armor sets FW was selling? They seem a tad cheaper. And they're also compatible with GW standard SM weapons?
