As some of you know I am trying to get back into Flames of War. While I know what I need for my Late War American forces there is a group that does play early war and I have a good set of 8th Army forces I want to use for those games. However there appears to be two books that deal with North Africa. Which one is best suited for using Motor Companies, horse artillery, and tanks? |

I would have thought Burning Empires is the one you're after. |

No, it's Hellfire and Back. Burning Empires revolves around the Balkans, Crete, Syria, and the SAS. Hellfire and Back is the book for the Western Desert campaigns. |

Ok Hellfire and Back is the one I thought I needed but wanted to be sure. Of course it does not have stats for mid war desert tanks such as Cruiser IIIs, M3 Lees, etc. That is OK I like Matilda IIs and the earlier Cruiser tanks. Well off to my local game store to purchase. |

For 8th Army North Africa, use Hellfire and Back and North Africa. If you want to do battles between British and Germans in Crete, get Burning Empires as well. |

Yeah, North Africa is the mid-war book dealing with 1942-1943. It even has the Americans for Tunisia. |
