Nice looking game and video. Are you planning to film the entire game? |

Rules are Field of Battle. I won't be filming the entire game, unfortunately. It would just be too much of an undertaking, but I will be taking pictures and posting to my blog when finished (www.smallworldproductions.blogspot.com) |

Looks gorgeous and superbly presented in the video. You need another ridge between Teugen and the main ridge. Its lower than the main ridge but is tactically significant because it anchors the French position in the early phase of the action before they muster enough units to assault the main Austrian position. Happily the actual battlefield is still intact today and is small enough to walk all over it. |

nsolomon: I couldn't get quite the look I wanted using the under-the-mat hills/ridges for the secondary ridge. Instead, the hedgerow/fence along the road will serve the same purpose. I often use these to denote slight rises in ground anyway -- they block LOS and make artillery placement a little more challenging. The Austrians can't see beyond the hedge line unless they seize it from the French, who can use it as a minor defensive position until help arrives. |
