I see you are doing Garibaldi's Red Shirts for the 1897 war. The Balkan War Memorabilia book sounds like I might want to buy it--thanks! Perhaps I should have thought of this earlier, but after visiting the history museum in the old parliament building in Athens, I made a regimental flag for my 28mm figures based on the one in Spiros Koumousis' Balkan War command pack with St. George added, like the flag I saw there. I'd be happy to send it to you, if you want. Grelber |

Well painted and based 10mm Pendraken miniatures. I hope your generous offer to gift some of your units will be seen by gamers with interest in these periods. I admire the fact that you have goals and are steadfast in attaining them. Please share more. |

Hi Grelber, thanks but I am fine with mine. I prefer painting/ making my own flags (its a eccentricity). And yes the Garibaldini are for 1897. The books is definitely a good buy. Choke full of stuff. Thanks Condotta! it does help that 10mm can be prepared and painted quite fast. |

The Memorabilia of the Balkan War book looks interesting. What kinds of material are included/illustrated. I have the Osprey but am looking for more info. |

Hi Naginata The Memorabilia book contains more figure color plates, and tons of pictures of weapons, propaganda material, uniforms, and medals. The Osprey has about 40% of the figure illiustrations of the Memorabilia book and much less weapon pictures. The Osprey does have more narrative as the book focuses on the greek part of the war (include Orbats for the Greek Amry and the Ottoman armies that faces it) |
