I put up a blog post about Jeep Mania!. It includes some bonus pictures of my Chain of Command Patrol Markers and some commentary about the project.

Lone jeep in trouble
Damn jeeps on rubble
Wily's patrol the borders
Solved jeeps with mortars
Jeeps on patrol phase
Armored cars lead the way

I didn't think it was possible to have too many Jeeps as an American player!

May need to borrow your idea for Jumping-Off points, if I can get the gang to play Chain of Command as opposed to Flames.

There was a thread on here some time ago about mortar jeeps, and, if i recall correctly, the consensus agreed with your conclusion. Here's a photo:

I'd love to see a manufacturer do this for 28mm.

BTW, pure genius using jeeps as JOP's. I may have to nick that idea!

Thanks for the comments.

ooh, nice picture. I may have to fab up some tubs like that and glue them in. I really need to start painting the seat covers, I keep reading about that and your photo shows the high contrast. I may go back and drybrush green grey on seats.

These are actually for Patrol Markers but could be used as Jump off Points as well.

I have a bunch of bits and scenics that I am going to put together to make the Jump off points. Sandbag position, radioman, small ammo cache, that sort of thing.

I do my seats Khaki, and it looks good, great job on those jeeps, not sure if it's because I am on an Ipad, but the text on your blog is cut off by the border about 3/4 across the page.

This is one of my jump of points for my Romanians, on the right side, I'm thinking of doing something more dynamic for my other forces.

@Gunner

Thank you.

You must have looked at the blog via the embedded frame on the website? I know I have some formatting issues and I tend to make things bigger than I probably should. How selfish of me! looks good on my 23" monitor. I found a decent RSS Reader gadget for google sites that seems to render it mostly correct. I won't have the full embedded blog inside the website anymore just the most recent 3 posts.

I actually like your jump off point quite nicely. I think the patrol markers are the ones you want to be dynamic and the jump off points as the static ones, though I was thinking about a medic evac position with a jeep or dodge and stretcher.

@Lion

That's only about half off what I, and probably most US players have!
