That was fast. Now where's the French and Indian Wars board?
It passed the vote with required "would support" votes.

Texas Jack21 Jan 2016 1:55 p.m. PST

JJ you have solidified your place in my heart! Not like those folks dissing Bobby Lee in a thread which shall be nameless here at TMP. grin

"Wars": does that mean that we can use this board to discuss the modern "war" between Americans and Mexicans that is brewing, in fact, as some might assert, is already being waged? (see the pun there?)

Or is this board only about the 19th century? We already have a 19th century forum….

Unless I'm mistaken, there was only one war. Or is the Texas Revolution and the 1916 campaign part of this board?

Oh, nevermind. I just saw the OFM's proposal.

Anyone got a painted 15mm mexican army for sale….or any painted mexican war figures? Preferably Musket Miniatures or Eureka, but would look at any.

Having worked in Juarez in the last decade I have some excellent scenario ideas for the modern era.

This has been a great site for conversation so far….so glad they opened this up. I'm just getting into the RF & F rules they have for Mexican American War. any opinions on other rules?

Buckeye AKA Darryl22 Jan 2016 4:00 a.m. PST

Across the Rio Grande is a good set. You can find it on the MAW Yahoo group (see another post for the link), and I have a version for 18mm (see other post for email contact).

Our club has just started using RF&F for this period. Granted the criticisms of the F&F system for using 1d10, we found they work quite well.

1 Mexican & 1 American from Gringo 40S. The light blue is American, the dark blue is a Mexican light infantry man.
