Prairie Dogs (unlike beavers who LOVE any kind of swill – and let's not even DISCUSS NYC Squirrels -) actually have sophisticated palates. I know because I seem to remember spending some time with a few of them in the '70's. (I understand that even NYC Subway Rats have acquired a reputation for finding and holding on to pizza from the more "upscale" restaurants in Manhattan!) Guess it depends on the rodent and it's "Breeding"! Charlie |

I once had an alcoholic cat. He was always trying to knock over people's drinks so he could lick it up. My other cat at the time did not like booze at all. I had a dog who loved beer. Animals are weird. |

He's still standing, so not out of control yet. Worry, when he keels over backwards. |

Boredom can drive anyone to drink. If you are a prairie dog with little to nothing to do, and live in a state where you can see one end to the other, then that would drive anyone to drink… |

My wife's friend has a big ole dog. At BBQ's he will pick up unattended beer bottles from the ground and chug them. |
