Many of you are familiar with Nineteenth Century Miniatures (based in Michigan) that manufactures and sells the Old Glory15's (15mm) Franco-Prussian and Franco-Austrian Wars range. There is a lot to offer, but also some big gaps that need to be filled.

If it were possible to persuade these folks to hire a sculptor to expand these lines, what would your preferences be?

There is renewed interest in the 1864 war in Denmark.

My understanding(some years ago) was that these lines were done by two guys very interested in the period, both teachers who did the sculpting in the summers when school was out. They did seem to be dedicated to the line--I believe they redid some of their earlier sculpts because they were dissatisfied with them. I'm pretty sure they intended to complete the Italians at the very least.

Big Steve told me that they would consider expanding to other 19th century wars after that. I was pushing for Russo – Turkish or Adowa lines; both of these suggestions were met with extreme skepticism.

This is old news, I must admit. The conversation with Steve took place at a Historicon, and they stopped coming years ago.I'm sure someone else has better and more recent information to add.

It would be disappointing if they didn't finish the Italians.

I have pretty much every pack of this line of figures. First, finish the Italians. Second, 1864 Danes. Third, Russo-Turkish War. Fourth, Saxons, Hanoverians, and Bavarians for 1866. Fifth, additional variants for the present lines with figs marching, in greatcoat, etc. I love this line of figures!

Artillery limbers and riders would be a great addition to all of the nationalities.

As for the Italians, I'd love to see Bersaglieri added. These could be sold in the ACW line as the 39th NY Volunteers.

Good suggestion,DW. They've done something like that before--put together a Russo – Japanese line out of the Boxer Rebellion line. I picked up a bag of each at the Flea Market one time. The only thing was,I think maybe they were done by two different sculptors or something. Haven't looked at them in years, but as I recall, the Japanese were bigger than the Russians.

I would be pleased if they just fixed up some of the existing figures. I just finished some French command bases with figures from the Rank and File range and all three figures appear to have been produced by different sculptors. That being said, I would certainly be happy to see them produce figures to fill the gaps.

Andy,the R&F are a different,and older,line.

But I see from earlier posts that you are aware of this.
Changes or additions to R&F seem very unlikely at this late date--in fact, IIRC that was one of the first ranges they went to cast on demand on.

Thanks,I am aware that it is a different range, but same manufacturer. I have used R and F for my infantry and artillery because I got a pile of them cheap when a gaming shop shut down, but I've gone with OG15s for most of my cavalry.
