Hi folks,
The situation – I am self-employed and run 'Marching In Colour', a blog/website for my painting business. It's doing fine and work is steady, it is more or less paying the bills.
I am looking to add to the site, with a mind to make a little extra money so I can ensure I pay the bills!
Like most 'artists', the love of my work often gets in the way of actually making a profit. With this in mind I don't have much to invest and I don't wish to make £££'s.
I was thinking of maybe stocking paints, or a range of models, though paints are probably not a good idea (as people pay me to paint their models, not supply materials to diy), and I would rather avoid stocking a range that is widely available and heavily discounted on numerous other sites.
So far I have thought of maybe producing my own scenery, buying a range of moulds/models, casting some minis that sort of thing. I've looked at 'Prince August' range as a possibility, as well as cast a few plaster scenery for home use from rubber moulds I made.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. If you are looking to sell a small range, or to get a small UK supplier for your stuff, or have any ideas please post/message me here. You can also contact me through my site (link below)
thanks
Chris
