Hi guys,

I've just started collecting stuff for X-wing – which I like very much – and I was wondering, apart from asteroids, if people make 'stuff' for it, and if so what out of.

I'm not looking to create ships as the models available fill all my requirements. I'm thinking about extra scenario style stuff.

I was thinking of making some 'space mines / beacons' out of a couple of small bits of Lego (cones and caps – which will make sense to lego-ers) with some antenna made from plastic brush bristles.

I was also thinking about making a couple of cargo containers, basically out of quality disposable 4 blade razor shaving heads, which have certain futuristic 1:270 container look to them.

I've found some simple clear plastic flying stands to mount them on so no worries there.

I'm not bad at modelling and I'm a pretty good painter, so I can make and paint stuff to look quite good. The problem I have with X-Wing is the scale – I'm more used to 28mm – so I'm looking for inspiration as to what kind of household objects can be converted into X-Wing additions. Electric plug fuses, for example – but what for?

Thanks,

James

I am waiting for your repaints and then turning the system into a 3D combat game.

Seeing your gaming projects over the years I know both will be Epic and fantastic.

A good start is the Senator shuttle for mission #1

Here are two scracthbuilt versions…

Then the Shapeways stores have many options for additions.
