I made some Medieval Christian knights with just a little tweaking from GW chaos forces … … that stylistically make decent Northern Europeans.

You know, I've seen good ideas from you before, but this one I've gotta put in the lose column. I think a little more work on weapon swaps and cutting shields to de-emphisize would have helped, and also the banners really do still look like Chaos Warrior banners.

Nope. Still chaos warriors. Even more out there than the wargamers' stereotype based on Eisenstein's 'Alexsandr Nevsky'- and they were deliberately costumed to look evil and unchristian.
