Wow, no tire chain bikini or thong made out of a drive belt? What's gaming coming to?

That's cuz "she" looks like a dude.

Kinda hard looking, which makes more sense than the alternative.

Looks like a WWII Russian tank mechanic to me.

I'm always critical of the female miniatures (not all of course) in Sci-fi which seem to be over the top no matter the subject matter…….its annoying when you have an infantry unit where the males are dressed practically and for some reason the females are in mini skirts etc.

But, is that a female mechanic?

After a close look maybe, hard to tell really perhaps there is a middle ground between the model in her undies and the manly figure we see here.

Honestly though its seems that is intentional, she probably shouldn't look like Kaylee from Firefly but that is the image in my head for the female mechanic. evil grin

I'd have to go with the Earl on this one. An SF version of Connie Rod would be about right--fully dressed, but you ought to be able to tell the difference.

Was going to say that this lady is a little … "thick" shall we say?

Please, no bikinis, but can we get something closer to the MaK lady mechanics?

curvy without looking like a prostitute?

Mailee from Bombshell isn't too gratuitous and is unmistakenly a mechanic!

Not bad, but I'll agree with the rest of the posters in that she's a little too androgynous for me. Still I like the work attire. I think the Soviet style tankers helmet could have been toned down a bit. Is that actually supposed to be a hard hat or comms carrier like the "Snoopy Cap" used by astronauts. If its the latter, they should have toned it down a little.

I'm glad they made the reference to ALIEN in the notes. One of the reasons why I so love that movie is the fact that the female characters are "normal" women. They aren't silicone sisters with bulging breasts and voluminous backsides (not that there's anything wrong with that) but rather regularly proportioned women working in industry. I think this is a pretty good attempt and I like it.

Kaylee Frye didn't look anything like _that_, thank God!

"I hate it when women are overly sexualized in miniature."

Fair enough.

"You didn't sexualize this female miniature enough."

C'mon!

Then take a '0000' brush and appropriate paint colors for lipstick and eyeliner to it… ;-)

Hi folks, I'm the painter of the model above.
I wanted to keep the feminine side of tha model as discrete as possible. The photo doesn't quite capture it but I just gave her lips a slight red glaze to make her look a little more feminine but that was all. I assumed this particular character wanted to conceal her feminity as much as possible hence the choice of colours.

I think she looks fine. You can always paint her pink.
