Brilliant idea for a diorama. My only complaint is…why did I not think of that first? Really clever use of Perrys' new figures! The fleeing figures actually do look scared! de Lacey Evans did get away (is he the chap in the green facings?) Here is a funny thing. You can never be "Sir" followed by your family name. Americans, the Rebel Colonies, always get that wrong. The Sir can only come before your given name. He could be Sir William, or Sir William Ponsonby….but never Sir Ponsonby. It is like Boney talking about "Lord Wellington" at Waterloo because…or forget it….. My passport says there are no titles at all in my country and, if I did get a Knighthood (like Casper Weinberger or Bob Geldof)….I could not use the "Sir" at all! Complex country….wonderful place though. 62 years here as a "foreign national", decades of which my compatriots were trying to kill folk…….still welcomes strangers! |

Thanks for your messages I decided to depict de Lacey Evans with green facings, as he was wearing the uniform of the 5th West Indies regiment. See source: link Thanks for the naming conventions, I didn't know that and I corrected it on my blog ;-) |

You did better than I did. I added Christie as well, as it was chance to show a dragoon in green facings. Later read he spent the day back in Brussels……….sob. |

Titles… I was transferred to a new job some years back. The email system wanted me to include title. I typed in "Duke of Earl". Those of a certain age may recall this YouTube link |
