After setting up a new table for Batman with the Multiverse Gaming Dark City kits, I've decided to play a bit with my camera and a photo edition software, trying to achieve the 'nighttime' effect. I'm not exactly there, but still quite pleased with the pics :) Enjoy!

Wow, that's quite a table! Superb. Looks like it'd make for good games too, with the multiple levels.

Very nice. Is this a point and shoot camera or anSLR and if the latter What lens/setting are you using?

Well, that's incredible.

That is amazing work! I recognize some buildings from Batman: Arkham City. And you have a very nice collection of Batman miniatures. Please keep us posted of your progress.

Awesome layout. Need to fade the background in Photoshop or something, it's still too bright.

You might be able to use a bright overhead light with a darkened room otherwise to get better night effects.

Thanks for all the kind words!

@Terrement:
Great collection of architecture! Model RR kits?

No, all of these are lasercut HDF kits from Multiverse Gaming.

@Lion in the Stars:
Will try to do that, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, guys! :)

@Terrement: I understand that, though with the amount of terrain needed for games of Batman or Pulp City i prefer to buy the kits and spend the time painting/weathering rather than scratchbuilding.

Another camera idea needs a tripod and some manual camera settings. Doesn't need to be a big tripod, a $14 USD mini-tripod will work fine.

In addition to using the camera's "macro" mode (assuming a point&shoot), you're going to play with exposure times. Longer exposures with lower light levels will let you use a single small light to only show one area of your board well. Longer exposure times really require a tripod or some other camera stand.
