I know nothing of the mechanics of the game but i ewas hopng someone could tell me what kind of re-play value it has and whether it really is appropriate for more than 2 players. |

It's a reskinning of Descrnt 2.0 and phays like a dungeon crawl. Fhek boardgamegeek.com for lots of details. It wasn't my thing. I stuck with Descent. |

It actually has a campaign game that is designed for multiple players. Then it has a face to face Skirmish set up for two forces of equal points. I like it. Clof |

I have Descent and was a tester for IA. Pick it if you: 1. Don't mind to have 1 player act as the DM all the time. 2. Can get a group to play it consistently, since it shines in campaign. It doesn't matter if you only get one other person (since it's easier for 2 people to get together). 3. Like Star Wars. |

I've played it a few times and it is fun. The main characters have special abilities and you have to carefully choose your tactics to get the full benefit out of them. Characters working as teams can also be more effective. |

I preferred it to Descent. Pick one of them you don't need them both as they are very similar |

1. Don't mind to have 1 player act as the DM all the time. Really, you need a GM??? I preferred it to Descent. Pick one of them you don't need them both as they are very similar I am interested in Imperial Assault because, well… Star Wars. Thank you everybody for your input. I have a few buddies that get together and play Talisman 2 or 3 times a year and I thought SW:IA might be a good alternative. Not sure now, based on your responses. Thank you, you may saved me some money! |

You don't need a GM for Imperial Assault. |

I think he meant a permanent dark side player who reads and controls the scenario. Like a DM. |
