Has anyone tried to "switch" the arms on the American box to the British box to put the British at shouldered forelock and the American and advance? Was this successful ? Also, I am the proud owner of the macho box "liberty or death" from warlord. (At half price!). Do the warlord/war games factory models mix well with Percy's? That should read perrys

Hello,

Congrats!

Have not tried the arm switch interesting idea as I have assembled each.

As for WGF mixing with Perry, they will look fine on the table. The WGF are a bit taller than most, but look good. Posses are limited though so I only went with a box to mix into my armies. I do not use the plastic bases as they only make them taller.

HTH,

Aaron

I think whether or not they mix well largely depends on your tolerance for size. MY friend and I noticed that the WGF figures are noticeably taller and a bit chunkier. I would definitely not mix them in units. you could probably have then in the same army though.

There are a couple of problems with mixing Warlord/Wargames Factory plastics with Perry plastics. The first mentioned above is that the WL/WF figures are more robust. The other is that the poses are not that compatible. Most of the WL/WF are firing line poses. The officers could be mixed and there is one walking Continental light infantryman and two walking figures of the militia that might be pose compatible with the Perrys.

I am curious to hear your thoughts on the WL/WF Hessians and artillery.

The only problem switching Perry Continental with British arms is the lace, which can easily be scrapped off if needed.

I've seen pics mixing the hunting shirt/riflemen models together and while yes, Warlord/WGF are taller, they mix well together. Not all humans are the same height! And that can easily be fixed with a small piece of plasticard under the Perry base, if it really bothers you.
