Pouches full of tinned chicken supreme, fags and rolled up copy of Mayfair?

Now these are very smart, perhaps a set with jock heads would be good. When are the enemy coming out?

Very nice

Foxweasel, we have 4 balaclava-clad paramilitaries being moulded at the same time (pistols, an AK and G3 I think).

Just in the process of throwing some more cash at the sculptor to do another 7 Brits (a few more poses, an officer, RTO, GPMG, LMG) and 4 paramilitaries (Armalites, M60, and possibly RPG7?). Would've had the armalites out in this first tranche but there was, err, an arms supply issue..

All things being well, we'll develop a fuller Winter of '79 range this year with squaddies without flak vests, more armed civvie types, police and so on, but it depends on how things pan out.

Great stuff, looking forward to it. The only drama will be the scenery, might have to go down the South Armagh route, West Belfast will cost a fortune!

For urban scenarios there are some O Gauge cardstock terrace houses floating around (Purple Bob hobbies: link – I'm making some up for background shots) and Charlie Foxtrot Models have some MDF versions here: link

But I'd be inclined to agree re S Armagh if you're going to try NI. There are some nice ideas here: link

For W79, more choices open up as the setting could be anything. eg I live on a hill into which an old Cold War command bunker has been built. You'd never really know apart from the air vents here and there and a few brick pillboxes.

Oranjzicht: THANK YOU! Very useful to know.

Edit #2: Also for vehicles, there are a few 28mm Landies dotted around, eg Akula Miniatures does a nice SWB and TARV models has a LWB (haven't seen the latter though). Sloppy Jalopy does a civvy van and a Pig in 1:56. Corgi does a civvy 1:50 Bedford that'll do in a pinch. There are also some 1:43 civvy cars around that could be useable. I'm in the process of painting some of these up so when we get our figures out I'll get some display photos done which will show how well everything works (or doesn't!) together.

For Landies, Oxford Diecast ones fit in well with 28mm, for heavier stuff HLBSC do Saracens, Saladins, Scorpions, Scimitars, Foxes, Ferrets and a Stalwart. Just need the Humber Pig, Crooked Dice do a Transit (I think it was them).

You need Paramilitaries with their American provided Armalites mostly.

Also can we have ones with Hackles please. Also a Sterling SMG wielder.
