Coffee Table Tuesday chatter #3
Its Tuesday which brought our good friend Mr Briggs to our door with biscuits. I also have the pleasure of having a very old mate Nigel Plumb, working with us here at EWM as well now. As usual, Peter Day specialist Tea and ok coffee maker were in attendance. This week, our first coffee morning session after the holidays see us mightily enthused. Richard Clarks awesome Abyssinia Chain of command supplements (Free to down load on his web site) along side the growing new range of all things Italian, gave us loads to gab over this morning. Both the war in 1935 and the early WW2 battles, plus the highly credible "what if" of 1935 involving the British and French, deserve much deliberation.

So the new Italians are progressing well, as was seen with even more additions. A new Bohler 4.7mm ATG towed by Mototricycle, mule or TL37 truck options. The Breda 20mm AA gun with Mule tow, a spare barrel and tool box for the Brede m30 LMG team (thank you to the kind customer who suggested that one – great addition), Motar teams and M35 and M37 MMG teams carrying their weapons into action. More Mototricycle combinations including towing a trailer, trailer stores (Fuel/water cans and box's made to fit, ammo box's and accessories for the new 4.7 atg, more new figures in different poses.

I also finished the production moulds for the "head tree's" and weapon tress which means we can offer these as separate packs in future.

The Chain of command new Abyssinia rules and lists along with my holiday book by Anthony Mockler (Thanks to Dave Lanchester for that one!) have proved a great inspiration. From the battles of 1935 against the Italians, to the Italians in 1940 giving the British a good stuffing in the Sudan, yes I did say Sudan and British Somalia – first wins to Mussolini. Some hard facts there and many future scenarios offering excellent games in the future I hope.

So, after much consultation of the CoC army lists, we have decided to replicate these accurate squad and platoon descriptions for our new Italian army product sets. Even the engineers and mine clearers will be covered.

Very interesting Paul, thanks for posting.
I gather these are 28mm figures?
Too bad I have 20mm. I'm just finishing an early war German Recon Battalion for Rapid Fire.

D A THB12 Jan 2016 2:10 p.m. PST

Nice figures etc.

Von Miligan12 Jan 2016 2:11 p.m. PST

All in glorious 20mm

Tarleton12 Jan 2016 2:27 p.m. PST

Lovely stuff Paul.

Terrific figures, I especially like the 20mm AA Breda, the man pack radio and the tricycles…….

If I didn't already have CCNN for my VBCW, I'd definitely being getting a load of these. Loads of options too…. bliss!

Any ETA on the Vickers Mk III that is lurking in the background?
