So, after vowing last year to never, ever place an order with BTD, I stupidly succumbed to their 50% off sale. The order arrived, and as usual, was wrong. Missing items, duplicated items etc. As usual, no answer to any of my emails. I feel more angry with myself than the people who can't even be bothered to respond to a (ex) customer, let alone get the order correct. The service I receive from Aventine is amazing,so guess where my money is going from now on. Rant over..for now. 😶 |

Same here, I was about to post a message about how I had great service during their 50% off sale. I'm only dealing with the US store, but I'm super pleased. The items came quickly and were exactly what I asked for. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience. |

The US store has been awesome. |

If you notice Jane is listed as living in the UK. All my experiences have been with the US store and they have been great as well. |

The sale persuaded me to place my first order with them. It arrived all correct in about three working days. I'm happy with that. So the UK shop can do it…. |

My last order with BTD were all 100% correct also. |

Each time I've ordered from Black Tree in the States, service has been good. For my last order, they were missing an item or two from inventory, they obtained the items that I wanted, and then sent them along without me paying for shipping again. One time they sent an item that had been labeled incorrectly, and after I contacted them they sent the correct item, and let me keep the other item, too. Hopefully they can do good for Jane22 as well. |

I am in New Zealand and order through the UK site. My orders always seem to come from the US and have never had anything missing, ever. Thats about ten years of ordering from them. |

My US order from the 50% sale has been a rather poor experience compared to the last few orders. Only about half my order arrived. The rest is suppose to come at a later unnamed date. Half the British forces listed in the invoice as having shipped, were not included in what arrived. No response to email. This reminds me of my first couple orders with them nearly 10 years ago. Since that time all my orders were 100% and quick to arrive. I know weather is a big shipping problem. But an email is an email. |

I did indeed order from the UK store, and I can see from some of the other replies that people have been quite satisfied with BTD service, guess I'll have to accept that I've been unlucky again. I got interested in ancients at uni whilst reading history, and have only ordered from three companies so far…the other two were great! J. |

It's easy for me to resist. My Pictish cavalry I bought last year with the same sale are languishing in a box in the foyer closet. |

Still waiting for mine but I ordered at the last minute. |

One has to wonder why a company needs to perpetually run a 40-50% off sale (essentially for the last year on and off). My one experience with them without issue. |

They have some very nice minis (some pretty terrible ones, too!). I've had good service off them in the past few years. Best, Simon |

I've only had two interactions with them and was pleased by the speed of delivery and quality of the figures. I've only dealt with the American side of the company if that has any bearing on the matter. Lloyd |

hmmm, I don't like to hear this. I haven't received my order from the UK store either, but I am in Germany. I figured it was just the X-mas/New Years season coupled with two postal services which are probably clogged with packages that still haven't arrived in time for X-mas. And sometimes it does take a while to ship across the channel, curiously enough. On the other hand, I did get orders from Col. Bill's, Footsore, and Gripping Beast that were place around the same time and after. I hope this isn't a bad sign |

I was about to place an order with them, but I don't like the sound of this. I see the website has moved too: eoeorbisuk.com Anyone have any comments on the UK site order turn round ? |

Finally had a response to my initial problem about my order being wrong, the replacement figures are not yet in stock in the UK. Have to come from the U.S…. So my order fulfilment time SO FAR is over 2 months! What a shambles…… |

Ah Jane22… I feel your pain.. My experience (so far) with UK store – January 10: Placed Order January 26: Emailed asking for update. No response. February 1: Sent question through 'Contact Us' on website February 2: Received 'apology'. Apparently they are awaiting a restock and my order will despatched then. February 10: Today. Still waiting. One month so far. Hopefully the next big sale they hold will either be with stock on hand, or with stock in anticipation of demand. |

I am having a similar experience here in the U.S. Placed order on Jan. 11 and 13th- as of now no miniatures and no messages explaining why. I send a message via the contact page and haven't received a reply. |

Second week of March and still no sign of my order being fulfilled…. |

I'll have to chime in about the US store – I ordered on the 50% sale and got most of the order in decent time (almost 2 weeks ago), almost like ordering overseas from Warlord. Still waiting for the final parts, but overall okay so far. I am wondering if I'll see the other part of the order sooner or later. |

I ordered about £50.00 GBP (after discount) of ancient Germans, Romans and Roman war machines in their most recent 50% off sale and received them all, complete, within about a week. Same just before Christmas with a similar sized order of Normans and Saxons. This was from the UK site. |

My lot arrived 29th Feb, with one ballista outstanding (which arrived 3/3) So… 7 weeks, just into the 8th. Crazy time frame by todays standards. |

I should chime in here. I have placed several orders with BTD and never had a problem – well, until the 50% sale. Previous orders I have had everything arrive in a fairly timely manner and if something was not in stock from the USA store (I am in Canada) it was sent from the UK store. All quickly. I have always had responses in very quick timely manners and all very professional. The only issue was with the 50% off sale and my order was apparently misplaced. I received a reply to enquiry immediately and a very professional and courteous response. I am happy with the quality of the figures and I really like the sales they run to promote their figure line. (I have more time than money and will wait until there are sales to buy anything – some may try to accuse me of being cheap, but with a family I would like to think of it as fiscally responsible.) Anyway, I have good things to say about BTD and will not hesitate to order from them again. |

Up until now never had any serious problems with Black Tree (UK) Well over 25 orders in the last 4 years and all arrived in mainland EU within two weeks, most within 1. One order had some figures missing but the accompanying note said it was on back order. Eventually these figures arrived about a week later without me having to enquire any more. Compared to for example a US company that simply stole my money and never sent anything (£600+) I would call this exemplary. |
