Ahah I was in napoli for new years eve, and I also visited the maschio! I should add that the gate represent the victory of Ferrante over his rebellious barons in 147something. The whole campaign is depicted. The gate is huge and beautiful, as is the maschio itself. |

Excellent! Thanks for posting as this is a fantastic resource for my Early Italian Wars projects and the main feature of what I';ll be concentrating pn next year, Ravenna. I realise that some of the infantry would be already anachronistic by 1512 but there are some very useful imaged of the fully barded horses and armours of the men at arms that will be used for sure!
