…For Jobs Too Dirty And Dangerous For The U.S. Military. "When the Pentagon needs a job done that's too dangerous or politically perilous for the U.S. military, a clandestine call goes out to men like Simon Chase. Chase — not his real name — goes on the record in a new book "Zero Footprint" as being a trained killer for hire, one of the elite mercenaries in the service of the $100 USD billion global industry of military contracting. "We're hired to do the dirty and dangerous jobs the military or intelligence services can't or don't want to do … missions too sensitive and top secret for even Delta Force or SEAL Team 6."…"
Main page link The growth of private military contractors to fight and/or assist in America's wars is one of the most under-reported stories since 9/11. And while we know about companies like Blackwater who functioned primarily to provide physical or personal security, not much is know about those who were (and are) being employed to do contracts that no one wants to know about. Bit over the top, if a mission is too secret for Delta then I don't think the government would allow anyone to write a book on it. Too dangerous for Delta and SEAL team 6!, I've heard some nonsense but that's taking the p#@s. Western governments have been hiring PMCs for years to do the jobs that the military haven't got the time or manpower to do. If these people were really at the top of their game they'd still be in the military. |

I wonder if it's Simon Low, who wrote "The Boys From Baghdad?" |

Other than the CIA has a section of ex-elite soldiers for super duper classified missions. I have some serious doubts about what this book claims. 1. Its against Federal Law for civilians to operate in offensive operations. 2. Its against International Law for civilians to operate in offensive operations. 3. If its so classified Delta can't take the mission, then how is this guy writing a book on it. A few SEAL Team 6 members and a Delta member have been investigated by the FBI for possibly revealing classified material in their books. 4. having worked as a PSC, at a bare minimum the author has clearly violated the NDA they signed. Which can be classified and involve not only civil but criminal proceedings. |

I have to agree with foxweasel, again … And if ex-military type have "skills" … why not put them to good use. Like the CIA and other agencies have vets working for them. Like the "contractors" at Benghazi … Let's admit it … not just anyone off the street can be a PMC for many agencies, like the CIA, etc. … |
