Okay, I've generally staid away from airbrushes on the basis of cost and in recent years having absolutely nowhere to keep or use one. However eldest daughter received a marker based airbrush as part of one of her Christmas presents and for a cheap'ish toy (but obviously no use for modelling) and has a negligible footprint (it'll fit in a shoe box). I tried a couple of ham-fisted Google searches but couldn't really find what I was looking for. Has airbrush tech moved on any that you can get a useful table/desk top unit that doesn't require a compressor and is relatively cheap? Bearing in mind it will probably spend its days doing simple two-tone camo jobs on 15mm/20mm tanks and mechs. |

You still need a compressor (cans of spray are available but they tend to low pressure, and are expensive per liter) For an example of how small table top compressors now can be see the Neo Air link |

Your other option is to use compressed air in a tank. It lasts a long time, it's obviously very quiet and you can have it re-charged. Tanks can be heavy though. |

Check Youtube. There are lots of good videos which will answer many of your questions about airbrushes. |

My compressor is no nano – but definitely table top friendly |

The Neo air is the right size – but the price is a little out of my league unfortunately. |
