I have been looking at these for a bit now as there is a company having a sale on them at the moment, but I want to know if there is some sort of pre-written canon for use of these troops? They do not look too far forward sci-fi, so I think they would be a bit of a stretch for Tomorrow's War which is about 300 years from now, but I am interested in seeing an official "history" or canon of one exists.

The NVL history written so far is in PMC 2640 rulebook, where it's described as one of the four example merc companies.

Ah, straight from the man himself…thanks, Marcin! I was hoping there was an inspired background to the troops.

I love the figs, but to be 27th Century they seem archaic. :) I would almost say they are late 21st Century at best, just on weapon design/development. Not a complaint, just saying to me they don't seem that far advanced. But as it is all sci fi, who knows? :)

Short of having to buy another set of rules (I use Tomorrow's War for my sci fi gaming), are you able to share an abbreviated background with us here?

Again, thanks!
