I've recently finished painting a lot of orcs and goblins for my skirmish/dungeon craw project. I figured that I would post some of the pics here.
Any C&C is welcome. More pics at theparadeground.blogspot.comJustin |

Nice work. Love the deviation away from green skin… Gygax listed several different colors for Goblins in his 1977 AD&D Monster Manual. One color he listed for Goblins, was brick red. That is the only color I've used for my Gobbo's, starting in the mid-90's. I've been tempted to try his other color selections, for different tribes, but I always go back to my brick red, so that I can throw down one, very large, tribe of Goblins, to represent a horde (currently 100+ figures). Maybe some day I will make other tribes' colors: orange, sickly yellow, etc. Cheers! |

Another Bravo for the skin colour selections. Those will be fun to game with. |

Thank you all for you comments. I remember reading somewhere that orcs and goblins come from mushrooms/fungus or some nonsense. I thought if that's the case why are they bright green? I've never seen a mushroom that color before. |

I agree, I go with the Tolkeinic view that Orcs and Goblins are just different sized beings of the same ilk. In the Silmarillion, the Orcs are made by feeding captured Elves with 'Fell meats', which indicates, at least to me, that they should be a variant of normal skin tones, probably darker and dirtier though! |
