Getting into 1/100 scale trying to down size from larger gaming scale. Now been looking at kits, and the like. Question is. 1.) How does Zeveda 1/100 kits (armor) look or compare to Battlefront and other brands? 2.) What size bases would be good for single or at most two man team in 1/100? 3.) Any sites for accessories for 1/100? thanks Fullmetal |

Any sites for accessories for 1/100? TSS have quite a lot here: link including objective markers, trenches, defences, pillboxes and bunkers, roads, railways
Oh and a few vehicles. |

"2.) What size bases would be good for single or at most two man team in 1/100?" I base my single figures on 1/2" circular or square metal bases. Even teams, I put each team member on their own base and the weapon on a third. Makes it easy for me to move if they split or suffer casualties. Some people like fender washers but I do not like them because of the height. Just my preference. |

I base individual figures on 1p coins, but my standard bases are 30mm x 30mm for groups of 2-3 figures. |

I have been working in 15mm/18mm for more than three decades. My collections include periods ranging from Rome in the 1st Century through the Allied-German fighting in northwest Europe in World War II. Those 15mm/18mm collections are presented in diorama form in 13 galleries. What might be key to your question is that each of those galleries is accompanied by an extensive write up on materials used. Since your posting came under Flames of War, I am assuming that your area of interest is WWII. With that in mind, you might enjoy, even benefit from, my Germany 1945 Gallery which can be seen at link |

If you are playing a specific rule set like Flames of War your base sizes will be set out in the rules. I suggest that you check with local gamers before you base This will give you an idea of what others are doing and how they do it Zvesda plastic kits are good and when viewed at the standard 3 feet game standard they are a match with their metal and resin competitors |

Yes, Flames of War actually has specific base sizes you're supposed to use. The proper base size counts more than the number of models on it, in fact. If you're not playing Team Yankee but some other rules that don't specify base sizes, I use 1/8x3/4" fender washers for singles, and base teams on 3/16x1" fender washers. If you're in the EU, Euro 1cent coins are a good size and cheaper than the 3/4" washers. |

(1) I love Zvezda. Their trucks and cars have fully modelled undercarriage, which looks way better than an integral resin base. Examples (for FOW):
and, useless for late war but I like it anyway:
Zvezda tanks need you to add your own MG barrels, though. |

Oh and a few vehicles. A typical English understatement… |

Thanks guys been watching lots of videos on the different brands, I like the look of Zveada and Plastic Soldier kits, but also some of he FOW stuff and Battlefront aren't bad either. To clarify when I was asking about accessories I was pertaining to accessories for tanks an vehicles? Ie.. gun barrels, stowage boxes etc.etc. Any answers to that? fullmetal |

Old Glory 25s sells 15mm general storage as part of its Command Decision line in the section marked Equipment. The general storage is CDSP-01. Also for inexpensive stowage you can cut pieces of Evergreen Plastic and cover them with facial tissue. Squeeze a little Krazy Glue over the top and you have canvas covered storage. You can also make bedrolls and sandbags for tanks out of Milliput shaped easily with a hobby knife. You can see my Milliput sandbags and tissue covered stowage in pics 20, 21, 24, and 31 in my Bocage "44 Gallery at link |
