Here's a little AAR I put together covering a recent bathrub Bridge Too Far we fought using Disposable Heroes. Hope you enjoy! carnivalempire.wordpress.com |

I just watched that last night. I lost track of how many times I've seen it. But I'm still looking for a copy of the Extended TV version they played, I think, on ABC or TNT. Apparently there are several different versions, depending on the country where it aired. |

That is a beautiful game! Thanks for posting such inspiring stuff! One exception: The knocked over troops spoil the look. Why not use dead/wounded figs? Or just take em off the table? Your game is way too cool to have those blaring, screaming, upside down bases taking away from it! IMHO…. |

Thanks all for the kind words. FYI buildings for this are all Miniature Building Authority. We tend to use MBA or Grand Manner for buildings and GM for fences in America. Rest of terrain is a mix of Miniature World Maker and a hodge-podge of whatever we have. I do get your point Ceterman and if I was a more prolific painter I would do it that way but knocking out 100+ dead guys is too much effort for me right now! :) And MechanialHorizon of course we watched the movie, twice, for inspiration during the game! |

Lascaris, We (I) use dead in all my games. But I only drop one down for every 2 or 3 actually killed. It looks so much better. Again, IMHO. Otherwise, your game looks fantastic!!! Example here: link And here: link |

Like the 'telescoped' scale. (Gave the same challenges as the original without having to find the perfect Arnhem bridge model on a 20 foot+ table). Nice scenery + good game design – the necessary level of abstraction = big win. |

The next game you play should be the building of the temporary bridge over the Son. That way you can have the objective of finishing the bridge under fire. If you get the bridge built, one objective could be you being able to yell "Roll the ers!" If you get to that point, you win. |

Great stuff Lascaris. A small thing, but everyone should know that the Union Flag (or Union Jack) is not the 'English' flag, but the British flag. Conflating 'Britain' and 'England' is rather like saying 'California' when we actually mean 'United States of America'. |

Thanks UFB. Silly gaffe for me to make, appreciate the correction. :) |
