Addition to Ugly Flying Barge Range: FRONT RUNNER
Blockage Runner with Front bridge instead of rear bridge. Done as a special request/suggestion. Regards MMG. |

Since I requested them I guess I better order some! Be prepared to see a couple of these at Diecon and Origins! |

Still liking it but haven't ordered one (yet). Need to make sure it isn't going to be a white elephant for me. Having said that, if MMG have a version with the front AND rear bridges I'd have to cave in. Like tsofian I'd then be obligated… and the hand of fate forced me to buy! |

Hmmm…… After a Sky Pirate Galley then? |
Jimboba | 07 Jan 2016 12:54 p.m. PST |
Well if you put it like that YES. That would be the ticket. I was thinking jabba`s sail barge type of thing but that has no bridge decks at all. So let's go with pirates! |

Jimboba I assume you want it in blockage runner version, not the full UFB model. Regards MMG |

Hi MMG That's a bit like asking a kid if they want half the sweets in the shop or all of them! I'd imagine the full UFB (3 full decks plus bridge decks, fore and aft) would be pretty monstrous. But if forced to choose between the Party deck, Passenger deck or the Engine Deck I wouldn't be able to choose. If you tell me the decks are easy to lift off and swap around (i.e. interchangeable and easy to break the model apart for accessing the insides) then I'd go for the full shebang. Likewise if it's easy enough to assemble with one, two or three decks (which I'm assuming it is based on the options shown already). Gosh, I'm boring myself. Basically, are the decks like MDF Lego? Then I'd buy all decks and have the options on hand. |

So when these ships arrive do I paint them? If so with what paints? And what color schemes? So much I need to know! Terry |

Jimboba With exception of engine deck & Top/Bridge deck the other two floor can be swapped in & out. The Barge is designed to have easy access to the inside. There is a ring of mdf with hole (holds the walls together) and a large panel that is glued under deck plate that locks into this. The internal walls are fixed for each floor but don't have to glue all of them in (are some slots in floor). I have the test cut UFB sitting around taking up space & collecting dust, I would be willing to off-load at BB-Grade discount (had some B.A.Ms in the design) -------------------------- Tsofian The usual modelling paints work but will need to prime mdf beforehand as drinks paint. With paint scheme might be worth checking if there are any colour pictures of Victorian era ships. ----------------------------
Regards MMG. Would there be any interest in a Sky Whaler add-on.

I usually prime with automotive primer, which gives a good seal. Historical Victorian paint schemes tend to buff, white, black and perhaps some dark grey. They are generally peace time colors or wartime grey or black. I am thinking of something more exciting! |

Hi MMG Does your kind offer mean that an upper deck with fore and aft bridges is not in the offing? |
Jimboba | 11 Jan 2016 7:06 a.m. PST |
Tsofian In my head, for no good reason, I saw this in purple with gold fittings. |

How well would this work with 28mm figures? I'm looking for an 'air-ship' for use with my Sky Pirate pulp figures and so far I'm drawing a blank – this looks like it would be perfect even if the decks would be a little…cramped lol. |

Not for me; red with gold fittings. It's the War Barge Ajax! ;->= Sorry, MMG, the end and beginning of year sales have been brutal on the Paypal acct. Every time I think I'm ready to order… Would there be any interest in a Sky Whaler add-on. That's a bit like asking a kid if they want half the sweets in the shop or all of them! You ARE listening, aren't you? *sniff* Doug |

Greatness …..that screams pulpy sky pirates to me too. With some changes to the cockpit that could be pressed into 28mm services |
Mad Mecha Guy | 12 Jan 2016 1:08 a.m. PST |
The international floor height is only 26mm, so not suitable for 28mm figure (except dwarfs). Could do version with greater internal height & modify internal layout for 28mm. Barge would still be 440mm x 134mm as can not cut larger than this. ----------- Have got the Front & Rear Bridge deck largely done, as takes a bit more material would cost slightly more. Can do this deck as a separate item if you wanting the Test cut. ------------ Unluckily doesn't have the beam cannon, so would be unarmed War Rocket Ajax :) ---------------------------- Regards MMG. |

Okay MMG. Sounds like a plan. Deck with fore and aft bridges and I'll take you up on the test cut offer (though I don't know what "B.A.Ms in the design" means "Below Average Mentality" or "Business activity monitoring". I''ll send you an email so you can put 'forum me' together with 'real me'. |
