Hello, I understand the 4/5/6 point system but was wondering how big can you go in terms of the number of miniatures on the table. Could you do a larger scale battle? cheers |

I think you can go larger with no issues. I would suggest however a limit of how many points of elites per spent point on the larger scale. You could do a rule of thirds like one third of your points may be elites etc. Not sure if you need more dice. |

We are holding a tournament here in San Antonio TX on the 23rd and it will be a progressive event – game #1 is 4pts, build to 6pts and finish the final game with 8pts. Each game you add to your previous list, should be fun. Will post results on TMP. I love an 8 point games, very fun. |

If you use multiple warbands/players on each side, then you can scale it quite large. We've done games with 2 x 6pts on each side and I don't see why more would not be easy. We've also done 2x5 pt vs 10 pt or 2x4 pt vs. 8 pt with no problems. Those are interesting games as the larger force is more resilient and has larger harder hitting units. The two smaller forces are more brittle but have access to twice as many Saga abilities each turn |

I seen someone play an 8 person tourney with 4 point armies. Game 1 each player had 4 points. Then the opponents of Game 1 teamed up for an 8 point force against another team from Game 1. Then all 4 players from Game 2 teamed up to play on the same side versus the other set of gamers. So game #3 was 16 points/4 players per side. |

I've wondered about a game with each army organized into three battles, as Medieval armies often were. You had a van, which would take up position on the right of the battle line, the main battle, led by the king or other top guy, which went in the center, and the rear, which was on the left (usually) and was led by the third in command. There would be six players, each in charge of one battle. The van and rear would have 4-5 units, while the center would have six, and might be able to loan a Saga die to one of the other commanders on his side. Who am I kidding? This was the Middle Ages with things like the Percys sitting out much of Bosworth Field--go ahead and loan Saga dice to the other side if you want! Maybe somebody will change sides. Grelber |

Grelber, I see no reason why your scenario wouldn't work. It might be lots of fun. |

We find that 2 on 2 and 2 on 1 games work well. With 2 on 2 , all 4 players get a 4/5/6 point warband. With 2 on 1 , we found 2x5 point v 1x10 point warband worked well. The large side just has one battleboard |
