A happy new year to you all and my thanks and gratitute for the comments and visits to my site.

I have posted some pictures of our last game of 2015 which involved Jack's 20mm British colonials and the man himself. We aim to do a 'North West frontier' invasion game with Jacklex Russians and Britishs in the near future, but in the meantime I hope you enjoy these pictures.

Alan, another great AAR! I love those old Jacklex figures. Combined with TSATF it presented what for me was an ideal Colonial game: good friends, good times. Keep those AAR's coming.

How immensely appropriate that Kitten Force were "mentioned in dispatches"!

Charming armies.
I have a friend who rather appreciates the shot damage done to a flag by his kitten

Many thanks for the kind comments. My loft used to be a cat free zone as my other beasts couldn't do the stairs. My daughter's 2 kittens see them as no problem, so 'Kitten Force' represents a real and ongoing threat to all nations venturing onto my wargames table. Perhaps 'Cats and their role in Wargaming' should be a new Message Board?

Delightful – and it will be one of the blogs featured in MWBG 394!

Great looking game !

The loft could still be a cat free zone. Cats are very easily trained, but it requires invariable punishment, which your daughter will likely resist.

Hi Henry
We have a companion site dedicated solely to Jack Alexander's figures of all scales, ships and building jacklex.blogspot.co.uk if you are interested.

Hi Chickenlewis. you are spot on with the daughter and the cats, not sure the wife would appreciate it either. One kitten just flops on the table, the other think's it is great fun to rearrange the trees and hedges and to represent cannister fire on the closely packed ranks of figures.

Cats just wanna have fun!

Excellent stuff! The feline addition certainly adds drama, but being (regrettably) extremely allergic to cats, this would have functioned as chemical warfare were I playing.
