It looks like many of the museums have stayed in Istanbul, rather than moving to Ankara. I'd love to visit Istanbul. Grelber |

My wife and I visited there in 2009 on a weeks vacation in Constantinople. It was really cool. Dang, the painting book was have come out since then or I would have bought it. I bought a baseball cap with the museum insignia. Since I run Byzantines in ancient miniatures, that raises some eyebrows. :-). The most interesting exhibit for me was the remains of the chain that the Byzantine stretched across the Golden Horn to protect the Harbor. |

I enjoyed the museum very much when I was in Istanbul, it is well worth a visit. |
