Games Workshop Battle of the Five Armies 10mm metal blisters. Did they come with metal or plastic stands? I know the boxed game had plastic stands, but did say the elf cavalry or goblin kings guard come with metal stands?

NO just the plastic ones, I think some didn't have stands at all. I think Smaug had a full metal base

I had quite a few and they were all plastic

As far as I know, GW has been using plastic bases quite universally since late 80's.

Have not seen the BOFA Storm Giant unpainted, but the Warmaster giant came with a 20×40 sculpted metal base.

I just saw a picture of the storm giant and it appears to come with a sculpted metal base as well.
