Thanks Robin. The historical version of this scenario is a real challenge for the French commander. Good to see that you were able to get the commanders to plan without knowing what they were up against. Great photos and narrative.

Thanks for the kind comments…. it's always a challenge to get something that keeps reader interest. Often I find myself drifting off when trying to read AARs.. I try to keep the narrative simple, and as short as I can while retaining key action and flavour. I like to let the photos tell their story where possible.
