Hi all Last months update TMP link Well December has come and gone and with it another year passes into history December was not a productive month due to work committments and having an on going ear infection!!!! Bought 28mm – 13 WWII Painted 13 (WWII) Monthly profit = 0 Yearly profit = -587 Total bought – 1196 Painted 609 My plan was to reduce my lead pile to 1500 ish and I did not get anywhere near this target so new year new plans 1) Concentrate on clearing old projects before doing new projects (1 new project planned already) 2) Paint more than I buy!!!! MH :-) |

Although I did a fair amount of painting in December I couldn't quite close on any of the projects. January will have some finished figures but an order for more Little Britons is in the works so… December Painted 0 bought 80 YTD Painted 146 Bought 324 Net -178 |

I painted about 340 figures. I probably bought about around 500. Most of what I've bought has been painted, except for some Napoleonics and sengoku figurs. |

Does making scenery (innumerable bocage hedges) gain me any credit? |

On December 19, I was +100 for the year, but then the Germans attacked on Christmas , and I just couldn't respond quickly enough. Of the 250 15mm WWII Germans that I received on Christmas, 150 have paint on them, but only 10 are finished. January will probably be a good month. In December: (-219) Painted 36 Received 255 On the year: Painted 250 Received 375 Overall -125 Goals for 2016 include painting 1000 figures, and painting three for every two that I buy. |

I'm sure I reduced the pile. I am unsure by how much. First half of the year was productive. The second half, lessthan so. |

December was a lousy month for painting in a year mainly consisting of lousing painting months. Specifically, three humans and a warg got painted, and I bought 14 figures. For the year, I bought 463 figures and painted 104, with the 64 I sold off not making up the difference. OK, so maybe I'm not sufficiently motivated. Maybe I'm tired of painting Dark Ages figures. Maybe there were other things going on in my life. Normally, I do paint up 200-250 figures a year. So, I went in and cleared all but one Dark Age figure off my table (a mounted leader for the Irish). They have been replaced with pulp era figures, most of whom are ready to go trekking around the wilds in their khakis. They should be fairly easy to paint, being kind of uniform. I have some things I've ordered, and one order I hope to place in the next few weeks. After that, I think I'll limit myself to only purchasing as much as I paint or sell. I do feel bad about the backlog of unpainted stuff, but clearly not bad enough to do something dramatic about the situation. I'm getting close to retirement, when I'll have time to paint, but not much money to buy new figures, as opposed to now, when I have money for figures (though not enough to get serious about farming figures out to professionals for painting) and little time to paint. Well, for December, my job and the holidays made for a challenging environment BUT… I managed to get 6 Orc Cav painted for my D&D game. I also worked on some of those projects that need to get done to make good games and for our miniatures: * I made a set of palisade walls that can be modified for different earthworks shapes. (Scroll down to see the final results in play.) * I started a set of movement trays for using my 25mm or 15mm figures in "One Hour Wargames" scenarios (from the book.) * I started another set of DIY foam trays for a second DIY minis carrier. HOWEVER… my Ral Partha Chaos Wars Kickstarter rewards of 161 figures arrived the day after Christmas (Yay!) and I also bought a set of 24 of the wonderful pig-nosed 15mm orcs from Splintered Light. So that shifted my balance hard into the negative for the month. Started December with this many to complete: 236 Completed: 6 Purchased/Added: 185 End the month with this many to complete: 415 Negative net of 179. FOR THE YEAR… Started 2015 with: 348 Completed: 291 Purchased/Added: 358 Ended 2015 with: 415
Ended up in the red by: 67. With Ral Partha's new Kickstarter targeting armies that I'm not as interested in, I have a chance of making 2016 in the black! I've got a good start on it, with some minis already almost completed this weekend. Happy New Year! May 2016 bring you love, joy, good health, prosperity and lots of painted figures! |

Hmmm… I think I am ready to make a Pledge of my own this year. I will have details later todayin it's own topic. My "Started 2016 with" number will only include unpainted miniatures for projects already underway or planned. It would take me a month to even locate all my loose figures in Storage to begin to inventory them. |

Well I did get a few done but not enough. With a short cruise and the holidays I had no time to paint. I did manage to keep purchases down to a minimum so here is the damage; Painted 12 15mm MAW Mexican Guard Hussars Bought 12 – 28mm Teutonic Knights 12 – 28mm Teutonic Sergeants 24 – 28mm Teutonic Foot This Month -36 Total for 2015 – -3412 So the last couple years I have added over 6000 figures to the lead mountain. This year will be the year to tackle it for sure. Some will be sold, some will go to the painter, some I will get done, but I will end 2016 on a positive number. |

December was a rather good month for me. Managed to paint 56 figsin 28mm (must be a personal record!) For 2015: 28mm figs: 259 scenery pieces: 1 large 28mm building Plans for 2016: -Set my target higher! I aim for 300 figs in 28mm. -And a few more 28mm buildings. -And reboost my 15mm painting. -Buy less! For 2015 this has worded well, buying slightly less than painting, but the Lead Mountain is still huge… |
