Thumbs up on today's main page banner. Sad to lose friends and fellow gamers---seems more in the last year or two!

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
Robert Laurence Binyon

Excellent remembrance for those who we lost. Gone but not forgotten.

That is classy. Nice call Mike, thanks for pointing it out-I would have missed it.

I hadn't realized there were so many this year. More pressure on the rest of us to carry on what they've accomplished.

A very nice touch by our esteemed editor.

Personally, I think this sort of banner should be done at the end of every year. It's a very nice tribute.

A very nice commemoration for some giants and some every day gamers. Well done.

Brian –

I try to make a point of a memorial banner every year.

Thanks also go to Mr. Nizz/Walt O'Hara for the use of some of his photos and his online obits that let me dig up proper references.

I do not have anything to say since I did not know those honored, except that I wished I had met them. I also agree that an end of year tribute is most appropriate to those lost…

Bashytubits31 Dec 2015 10:24 p.m. PST

Yes, thank you Wyatt and Bill. We lost some "historic" personalities this year, sigh.

Yes … very nice !
There must be a big wargaming group on the "Otherside" ! They may be able to game with the likes of napoleon, von Clauswitz, Washington, Grant, Lee, Rommel, Patton, Monty, Slim, … even Alexander and Caesar !?!? [unless some of those didn't make the cut and got sent waaaay "South" ! ] RIP all !

Wyatt,
Oh, OK. Now I'm embarrassed that I don't remember the other ones. As long as I've been around, I should have. Anyway, excellent work as always.
